A positive sense of community and communication on equal terms are particularly important to Kesseböhmer in the Apprenticeship talented employees of tomorrow. To strengthen team spirit and get to know each other better in a relaxed atmosphere, the first apprentice barbecue evening es in Bad Essen with around 80 participants.
Both our current apprentices and the new apprentices for the 2024 apprenticeship year therefore met with their trainers across all professions on 22.05.2024 on the village square in Lintorf. The event began with a brief welcome from Holger Meyer, Head of Industrial Apprenticeship, who thanked all the organizers and the management for the opportunity to hold the event. This was followed by a tournament in which trainers and apprentices trade fairs in mixed teams in Viking chess. "My favorite part was seeing all the trainees come together and seeing what a great community we are," said trainee Jule Hermjohannes.
After the group stage, all participants were able to enjoy a barbecue buffet. The trainees also contributed with many delicious homemade salads, grilled breads, and dips. Afterwards, the top three places in the Viking chess tournament were determined in the semi-finals and finals, and at the end of the event, the winners received medals specially made for the event in the training workshop during a small award ceremony. "Es great to see how many participants we welcomed to the barbecue evening and how well everyone got along with each other, regardless of their year of training or profession," summarizes Sarah Schnittker, commercial trainer, and Daniel Enns, industrial-technical trainer, adds: "I am sure that this event will have a positive effect on the start of training for our new trainees and the already very good team spirit."
