"Best place to learn": Kesseböhmer receives seal of approval for in-company training

It is the promise of above-average in-company training: the "Best place to learn" training seal. The independent AUBI-plus GmbH from Hüllhorst, a recruiter of young talent, awards it exclusively to companies that prove that they provide young people with excellent qualifications. In July 2022, Kesseböhmer, Bad Essen, received the supraregional and cross-sector seal of approval for the first time. It identifies the company as a top training company in Germany.

"Best place to learn" is based on a scientifically recognized quality model that analyzes and evaluates all important aspects of training, involving trainers, trainees and ex-trainees through 360° feedback. The representative and anonymous survey covers seven quality areas within in-company training. These include professional learning or the prospects after training. The results at Kesseböhmer showed that the company prepares its trainees optimally for their worklives.

Training personnel and training convince

"The award is a great confirmation of our multifaceted commitment in the area of training and simultaneously provides important insights for further future-oriented development of our processes and offers," gladly says Sarah Schnittker, project manager for the certification and commercial trainer at Kesseböhmer. The respondents gave particularly high marks to the quality of the training staff and the technical expertise of the trainers in preparing for exams. In addition, the successful integration of trainees into the company community and their intensive familiarization with the company's work and business processes were also convincing. Kesseböhmer involves the trainees in processing real customer orders and assigns them tasks relevant to their profession. "This shows that it pays to trust trainees with responsible tasks," explains Nils Pehmöller, HR Manager at Kesseböhmer.

Actively combating the shortage of skilled workers

Kesseböhmer recruits a large proportion of its young skilled workers from the ranks of its own trainees. That's why the demand on the quality of the training is high. "We are proud that this has now been independently confirmed to us," adds Pehmöller. With currently more than 200 apprentices in 16 trades, Kesseböhmer is one of the largest training companies in the Osnabrück region. Around 40 new apprentices will be starting in the summer of 2022. In this way, the company will continue to set high quality standards for the development and promotion of its own talents in the future.
