Who says you always have to build something new to create a state-of-the-art shopping experience? EDEKA Brinkmann in Bad Bodenteich is the perfect counterexample. Since July 2024, the store has been shining in a design that shows how existing stores can be completely redefined with a well-thought-out shopfitting concept.

A concept with a clear line

In collaboration with the designers at ShopZwo , a style was implemented that is instantly appealing: industrial chic. Clean lines meet a mix of materials that perfectly balances modernity and comfort.

The common thread? A consistent design that runs through every department—from the fruit section to the checkout.

Our task was es turn this sophisticated concept into reality. The contrasts between the materials used played a decisive role in this:

Warmth through wood: With wood paneling on the walls and specially manufactured gondola heads made of wood , we wood created specific accents that give the market a natural, inviting atmosphere.

Industrial accents: Expanded metal serves as a cool counterpart. Its use as a background for product range signage is particularly striking. Es the shopfitting robust, urban touch.

light typography: The large, decorative lettering is a real highlight. Some of themlighting with integratedlighting , which not only provides clear orientation but also makes them real eye-catchers in the room.

The renovation of EDEKA Brinkmann impressively demonstrates that "industrial chic" does not have to appear cold. The combination of expanded metal and warm wood tones has created a place where shopping is fun again.
