OrganiQ: Environmentally friendly and future-oriented

Renewable raw materials are a necessary topic that concerns us all. OrganiQ shows a combination of rapidly renewable, domestic bast fibers with a water-based, formaldehyde- and phenol-free binder. An important contribution to sustainability, made in Germany.

78 percent natural fiber. Hemp and kenaf in equal parts, 22 percent cross-linking, duroplastic binder - water-based, formaldehyde- and phenolic resin-free. The result is the environmentally friendly composite material OrganiQ.

From material to production to recycling - when developing OrganiQ, together with the Institute for Composite Materials at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, the focus was on the entire process chain. The perfect basis for producing OrganiQ with existing machines at Holzwerk rockenhausen in accordance with the company's own demanding quality criteria.

German Sustainability Award Design for OrganiQ.

For 15 years, the German Sustainability Award Foundation has been presenting the most prestigious award for pioneering contributions to the transformation towards a sustainable future. Among this year's winners: OrganiQ, our innovative composite material, which represents a real alternative to solid wood in terms of both aesthetics and price.

OrganiQ: Sustainable material for the future

An innovative material preserves the regenerative capacity of people and the environment when using resources. OrganiQ is based on grasses that grow very quickly on poor, undemanding soils and bind a lot of carbon dioxide accordingly. The nonwoven mats made from the plant fibers come from a regional supplier barely 25 km from Rockenhausen.

The advantages of hemp: robust, durable and sustainable

Hemp is one of the oldest and most versatile cultivated plants known to mankind. Its strong, deep taproot with many side and secondary branches ensures intensive soil penetration. The advantage of the fibers lies in their very good resistance to wear - products score with a longer service life; they can be reused through recycling.

Kenaf - a raw material with a future

Rough-haired stems and lobed leaves characterize the Hibiscus cannabinus or kenaf. This fiber plant from the mallow family is similar to jute, but contains less lignin than jute. This makes it less sensitive to light. Kenaf has good tensile and bending properties with low density. The lightweight fibers improve the stiffness and dimensional stability of products.

Sustainability is a top priority.

Renewable raw materials are an essential subject that affects us all. OrganiQl is a combination of fast-growing renewable bast fibres native to the region with a water-based formaldehyde and phenol-free binding agent. An important contribution to sustainability, Made in Germany.
